Medicine: Medical Law Review

The Medical Law Review is established as an authoritative source of reference for academics, lawyers, legal and medical practitioners, law students, and anyone interested in healthcare and the law.

The Review presents articles of international interest which provide thorough analyses and comment on the wide range of topical issues that are fundamental to this expanding area of law. In addition, commentary sections provide in depth explorations of topical aspects in the field.

Special issue: Regulatory 'Desirables' for New Health Technologies 21 (1): 2013

This special issue examines the relationship between health, technology and regulation. The papers analyse key aspects of this relationship including designing regulation to manage risk and uncertainty, the tensions between regulation and innovation, and techniques for enhancing regulatory legitimacy. Most importantly, the issue considers whether there is an emerging consensus about what is necessary or desirable in regulating new health technologies.
