Your delicious daily espresso can be a lifesaver in more ways than one

Your morning macchiato doesn’t just wake you up and get you into your day – it also protects you against one of the most prolific UK man-killers.
This study reports that drinking 3-6 cups of coffee throughout the day reduces the risk of getting prostate cancer by 20%, and the risk of dying from it by 60%. The 20-year US study of almost 50,000 men found that even relatively small amounts, 1-3 cups a day, lowered the risk by 30%. And decaff works just as well, as it’s the antioxidants and plant chemicals in the coffee that do the good work, rather than the caffeine.
Prostate is the most common cancer in UK men, with 37,000 cases and 10,000, deaths each year. So you should brief your barista daily – even hourly – for smarter health advocacy.
